Saturday 25 January, 1:15pm to 6:30pm (informal performance at 5:00pm)

All Saints Church, Hoole Road, Chester.

Tickets: £18 (students £10),  score hire £2, audience £5.  Includes tea/coffee and homemade cake.

Our winter choral workshops have become legendary across the North. In 2020, we invite you to Come and Sing one of Mozart’s most dramatic works, and to sample our renowned home-made cakes.

  • 1.15 – 2.00 Registration. Tea and coffee available. Collect copies and take seats in church from 1.45.
  • 2.00 – 4.00 Chorus rehearsal with Martin Bussey and Catherine Barnett (includes short “comfort break”)
  • 4.15 – 5.00 Break for tea/coffee and cake in the church hall
  • 5.00 – 6.30 Performance open to the public. Audience ticket £5 including tea/coffee and cake.

We will be using the Novello score, so please bring a copy if you have one, otherwise copies can be hired.  Further information can be downloaded here.

Audience tickets for the 5pm performance will be available on the door.

CBS invite you to join us for the day to explore some American musical gems, including works by Billings, Copland and Whitacre. Ellie is conductor of Chester Festival Chorus and the Halle Youth Orchestra, as well as conducting her professional choir, Kantos. This is a great opportunity to work with one of today’s most dynamic and exciting young conductors.
